Over four days, the live demonstration of ZTECH’s bubble film line – from extrusion to coreless rewinding – attracted packaging professionals from Italy, Germany, France, and Spain. The key appeal: turning large jumbo rolls into small, ready-to-ship rolls without manual labor and without cardboard cores.

The machine solves a universal bottleneck for bubble film producers: finishing. Typically, workers cut and tape small rolls by hand – a slow, inconsistent, and injury-prone task. By automating rewinding, ZTECH helps customers cut labor costs by up to 60% and nearly triple output per shift.

European environmental regulations also favor coreless technology. Eliminating cardboard cores reduces raw material consumption and waste, supporting circular economy goals – a message that resonated strongly at the Italian booth.

Post-show, ZTECH has already scheduled follow-up visits to six major prospects in Emilia-Romagna and Veneto. “The Italian market is ready for plug-and-play automation that delivers ROI in under eight months,” added Mr. Li. “We’re confident the coreless rewinder will become a standard feature on bubble film lines across Europe.”

Production lead time is currently 8–10 weeks. ZTECH is now evaluating a dedicated European spare parts warehouse to support growing demand.
